Drawing upon our Presbyterian traditions we gather together around the Word of God in its reading and in preaching and then respond to God's Word

- By offering to God our prayers for ourselves, our loved ones and our larger world
- By going out into the world in service and mission.
Our worship is greatly enhanced by our quality music programming that allows Sunnysiders of all ages to offer their gifts of music before God and our community. Our worship often includes a variety of music from traditional hymns, heartfelt spirituals, contemporary praise music, and even ancient plainsong.
We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper the first Sunday of every month and on other special occasions including Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve.
The Lord's Supper is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in communion with the crucified and risen Lord. During his earthly ministry Jesus shared meals with his followers as a sign of community and acceptance and as an occasion for his own ministry. In this meal the Church celebrates the joyful feast of the people of God and anticipates the great banquet shared by all the saints in the kingdom of heaven.
We celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism every time a member chooses to present their child to receive the sacrament and every time we welcome adults not previously baptized into our membership.
Children in Worship
While we do offer children's programming during a portion of our Sunday morning worship service, children are always welcome to fully participate in worship at Sunnyside. Our alternative worship services throughout the year also provide a great opportunity for families to worship together and experience the rhythms of the church year.
During the months of June, July and August we have Family Worship on Sunday mornings as members of all ages stay together in the sanctuary to worship God together.
