Advent and Christmas at Sunnyside
Advent Festival - November 28
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of carol singing, crafts, decorating and a simple meal, as our Sunnyside families kick off the season of Advent. This is a great opportunity for Fellowship for our community and for individual famlies to orient children to the season of Advent.
Christmas Eve Worship
- 5:00 p.m. Lessons and Carols
- This family friendly service of Lesson and Carols allows us to retell the story of the first Christmas and celebrate the gift of the Christ child among us.
- 11:00 p.m. Candlelight Communion
- This late evening service includes our Chancel Choir and a service of Holy Communion.
Jubilee Christmas
Five Presbyterian Churches in South Bend sponsor an annual event called Jubilee Christmas which gives
low-income parents an opportunity to wrap donated new toys and new or slightly used clothing for their
children as Christmas gifts.
This year Jubilee Christmas will be held at Westminster on Saturday, December 11th from 12:30 to 2:30
p.m.
Please look for the Giving Tree that will be placed in the Gathering Place during the month of November.
Church Christmas Card
This year as you send out
your holiday greetings to
friends and family, we suggest
that in lieu of sending
cards to people in your Sunnyside
family, that you send
one card to the church office
with a donation to be given
to Stone Soup Community.
All cards sent to the church will be hung
on a Christmas tree in the narthex and
family names will appear in the bulletin
on December 19, 24, and 26.

Sunnyside has a long tradition of encouraging our members to consider giving charitable donations in the names of family and friends during the holidays in lieu of gifts.
